PERSPECTIVE

SOUND

PERSPECTIVE is a series devoted to artistic translation. Each collaboration invites artists to interpret THREE & SEVEN through their own medium, reshaping the brand in new and unexpected ways.

To launch the series, producer Jazz Dad created an original brand sound based on their interpretation of the brand and what resonated most.

PERSPECTIVE is something the brand looks forward to exploring further; seeing THREE & SEVEN interpreted through the lens of other artists. When first introduced to the brand, what resonated with you most?

The first two things that really stood out to me straight away and have stayed with me through this project were ‘deep connection’ and ‘enhancing existence’. They’re themes that felt natural to me and I’m always trying to explore when creating sound.

I was also struck by how considered the brand already felt. That made me want to approach the sound in the same way and create something with enough depth and layering to sit alongside it.

How did these themes translate into the sound? What key ideas do you take into the production?

I kept coming back to this idea of the brand becoming part of someone’s story. This idea of a second self. That really shaped the direction of the sound. It was never meant to be the main event. It needed to support the atmosphere and the narrative rather than overpower it but also feel versatile enough to live across different moods and spaces.

Focusing on the production and the use of recognisable layers in the sound - You can hear people in conversation and pedestrian signals. What made you explore these layers and how do they work together?

There are 20 layers in this track feeding into the overall sound.
All of these familiar layers, like the chatter of people or the wine glasses clinking were designed into the production to create these moments of recognition, but also leave enough space for interpretation. These layers will carry very different associations for the listener allowing the attachment of own lived experiences.

This sound has also been designed to reveal itself over time, so the more attention you give it, the more you notice.

Where do you imagine this sound being heard?

Small spaces, low lighting, people in conversation.
A room that feels familiar, but charged with energy.
There’s warmth to it and comfort to it
